Fin

That's it for another year.
Marciac will once again be a quiet pretty village.
But if you do happen to visit Marciac, walk into the village square and look down at the ground.
You'll see music.

Marciac 2007

Musicians play in many of the restaurants - some are good and some better than others.

Marciac 2007

August 2007 The 30th Anniversary

This small market town comes to life as everyone prepares for the Jazz Festival.

In the square the stage is erected, sound systems installed, and awnings and canopies raised into place.

The cafe and restaurants spill over from the pavements onto the roads and into the square. Tables are chairs are everywhere.

There are market stalls set up around the square and down the side streets.

30th Anniversary Jazz Festival

It was August 2007. The very first time we visited the Jazz Festival.

It started, obviously, 30 years ago, but then it was only for a couple of days. Year by year it has grown bigger and better and become a famous event, attracting many visitors, to see some memorable Jazz Greats.
